CCNSP Cyberoam Certification

UTM Africa, a division of Gsolutions, for the second time successfully hosted the 2-day Cyberoam CCNSP certified training course. This took place on the 28th and the 29th of October 2010 at Gsolutions offices in Cape Town.
Cyberoam is a UTM security appliance that keeps your company network fully secure, by using proactive threat management with identity-based controls. The 2-day CCNSP course is the basic certification for Cyberoam security professionals. This certification course is industry recognition for competence in deploying and managing the Cri appliances.
The training was conducted by Nirav Shah, a Cyberoam trainer from India. All who attended the training thoroughly enjoyed it and easily understood and mastered the material. The delicious catering for the 2 days certainly added to the enjoyment levels!

Module 6 Gateway Anti-Virus / Anti-Spam
Module 7 Intrusion Detection & Prevention (IDP)
Module 8 Virtual Private Network (VPN)
Module 9 Multilink Manager
Module 10 Routing
Module 11 Exam
Module 12 General Administration
Cyberoam CCNSP certification prepares one to recognize insider threats and user-targeted external threats. CCNSP is is the only Identity-based UTM Security Certification available globally and covers general network security aspects over and above just the functionality of the appliances. The primary objective of the CCNSP course is to enable IT technicians to understand network security, how the Cyberoam appliances work and get practical experience that post training will enable the technicians to implement the appliance for customers seamlessly.
The 2-day training ended with a 60 minute compulsory exam. To attain CCNSP certification, a score of 75% must be obtained. To celebrate the end of the training, all participants were invited to a sushi and drinks celebration on the last evening.
